Styles offered

Ballet

Ballet is a formalized set of movements performed with skill, technique, and grace. Class follows a consistent pattern involving barre and centre work, all of which develops strength, technique, and flexibility. The foundations built through ballet aid dancers in almost any other style including jazz, lyrical, modern, pointe, and more.

Our Creative Team

In order to achieve our mission of providing high-quality training to our dancers, we only hire the most qualified and exceptional instructors at AMDA. Our team consists of experienced dancers and choreographers who are willing to push our students to their fullest potential whilst still keeping our students' passion for dance alive. Each instructor brings a unique set of skills to the studio, skills that when taught to our students make for well-rounded dancers. We are beyond grateful for our team, incredible artists that bring out the best in our dancers.

Ms. Adryan

Adryan Van Wyk, one of the head teachers and company instructors at AMDA, began her dance journey 15 years ago. She studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Flamenco, Musical Theatre, Modern, and Pointe with Academy of Arts, Inc. In 2018, she was accepted into the Academy of Arts Dance Company. She performed at numerous venues including Disney and Miami City Cultural Center, and she participated in the summer dance intensive every year during which she took various master classes with renowned instructors. She was accepted into and attended the Joffrey Ballet Company 2-week summer intensive program in New York. Adryan also took Ballet Tech classes in high school at American Heritage Plantation while still dancing at Academy of Arts. Adryan was awarded the Hardwork and Dedication award at her final dance recital at AOA before moving to Ave Maria, Fl. Once moved, she took classes with the Naples Ballet and Company Homeschool program. She later joined Ave Maria Dance Academy to be closer to home and spent two years training there. She performed with the Gyrene Dance Team in 2023 and is now an official member of the team. As a Gyrene Dancer, she continues to train 10+ hours a week, further developing her passion for dance. Adryan is excited to teach teach various dance styles + levels at AMDA. She is also thrilled to challenge and coach the Ave Maria Dance Company.
